A premium digital experience for a fintech startup following their Series B funding round.

The Brief

Following a successful Series B funding round, PayFlow needed a complete brand refresh to reflect their growth and attract enterprise clients. Cardinal Design created a sophisticated new brand identity, and they needed a development partner who could translate their vision into a high-performance website that would establish PayFlow as a leader in the fintech space.

The Challenge

The new brand featured subtle gradients, precise typography, and complex animations that needed to perform flawlessly while maintaining accessibility standards. The site also required integration with PayFlow’s existing documentation system and a robust blog architecture for their content marketing strategy.

The Solution

We implemented the design in Gatsby with Contentful as the headless CMS, optimizing for both performance and editorial flexibility. Key technical achievements included:

  • Custom WebGL-powered background animations with graceful fallbacks
  • Automated dark mode that respects system preferences
  • Integration with their existing API documentation
  • Advanced blog features including related posts, reading time, and social sharing

The build achieves a 98 Lighthouse performance score while maintaining visual fidelity to the original designs.
